ClipRecorder Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ClipRecorder ("the App"), provided by James Lim ("we", "us"), handles your information. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Permissions and their purpose

The App uses the following device permissions, each only for the stated feature:

Camera — to record video and to provide real-time body-pose detection.
Microphone — to capture audio together with your video recordings.
Storage — to save your recordings on your own device.
Notifications — to show recording status while a recording is in progress.
Network / Internet — used only by the underlying libraries; the App itself does not upload your recordings.

2. Where your data is stored

Your recorded video and audio are stored only on your device. Body-pose detection is performed on-device. The App does not upload, transmit, or store your recordings on any external server, and we do not have access to your recordings.

3. Third-party services

The App uses Google ML Kit to provide on-device pose detection. Pose processing happens locally on your device. ML Kit may send anonymous, library-level diagnostic information to Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. The App does not include any advertising SDK, and does not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics to collect user data.

4. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your recordings with third parties, except where required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

Recordings stored on your device can be deleted by you at any time from within the App or your device's gallery. Uninstalling the App removes the data it manages.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated revision date.
